Easy:Use something like notepad to keep notes on the mods you're doing. I do this for every game I Mod so I remember what the hell I did and how to undo it.So um uh. Before we get into this make a backup of your latest saved game. Found here: C:Program Files (x86)Steamuserdata230remote Just throw everything in the folder to another one named something like save backup. Unless you start a new game.1.
If you want to turn up extra visual settings get this: more info here: Throw it in the C:Program Files (x86)Steamsteamappscommonsaints row the third2. For a good set of general enhancement mods that are also co-op friendly look at Gentlemen of Steelport:Just throw it in your Saints Row The Third folder. Under Steam Apps/Common (C:Program Files (x86)Steamsteamappscommonsaints row the third).Open the folder now cut and paste RemoveallSRTTmods(MOVEMETOSRTTINSTALLFOLDER) to the Saints Row The Third folder. (Where the game.EXE is C:Program Files (x86)Steamsteamappscommonsaints row the third) This will clean up other mods you install. Good to have.
There's no Workshop stuff. All the good stuff is at: & Idol Ninja's Gentlemen of Steelport: Which goal is to pretty much have all or at least most of best mods at the site in one easy to use program.Which right now offers some good co-op Friendly mods and some other ones that both players would need to have but won't be as complete until he finishes his new GUI version which will be as expansive as his Gentlemen of the Row for Saints Row 2.
Which is why the guide I wrote is the way it is as GoS only has some of ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥'s work right now but not all yet.A good step into what mods can offer is my suggestions above. Then if you want more dig deeper at the site. Have fun!Idol Ninja's site is the best place to get Saints Row 2 working as it was a rushed PC port. Not only fixed most of the issues but the mods do enhance a lot of features of the game. While this may not add fun. It will add prutty:Download: HD texture pack fixed.rarJust do this with the two files:If you're using this mod with GoS, you need to take a couple extra steps first to avoid mission replay crashing:Open up your Gentlemen of Steelport folder, extract streamgrid.asmpc in the zip file to 'optionalmodstuff/sr3city0.vpppc' and overwrite.
Then extract sr3cityawld.str2pc in zip file to 'optionalmodstuff/1-MYEXTRAMODS' and then create a new GoS installation byrunning CreateCustomGoSv1 then press C & enter.Once done go in the MYCUSTOMSR3MODS cut and paste the patchcompressed.vpppc and patchuncompressed.vpppc to: C:Program Files (x86)Steamsteamappscommonsaints row the thirdpackfilespccacheOverwrite those two files and done.Looks nice.Thumbs up.Did you try any mods yet?
