Remington Black Ops 2

32

Thanks to the recent celebration of the 1911's 100th anniversary, the market is currently awash with slab-sided shooting options. In fact, some companies released their first, and in some cases only, 1911 pistols to join in the fun. One-of-a-kind pistols, historical replicas and commemorative special releases all have their place in the market, but what if you need a full-size 1911 to For professional operators serving in law enforcement and military roles, the selection of a reliable sidearm is not a matter of luxury, but a necessity. With the needs of these working warriors in mind, Para USA has released the new Black Ops 1911 chambered in.45 ACP.Pistol FeaturesThe frame and slide of the single-action.45 ACP Black Ops pistol are both constructed of solid, reliable stainless steel.

  1. When Is Black Ops 4 Coming Out

The frame's dust cover features a milled-in tactical rail for light and laser accessories. The slide is milled with front and rear cocking serrations and a flared ejection port.Inside the slide you will find a full-length guide rod, match-grade barrel bushing and Para's Power Extractor. The slide assembly is topped off with front and rear combat style fixed metallic Trijicon night sights.

The match-grade trigger is skeletonized and fitted with a factory-set over travel stop, and the flat mainspring housing features 25 lines-per-inch checkering. The hammer is skeletonized for a fast lock time. The grip panels are manufactured of tough, heavily textured black G10 and held in place with black hex-head screws.External safeties include an ambidextrous thumb safety and a beavertail grip safety with a raised speed bump. Internal passive safeties include a disconnector to prevent the pistol from firing out of battery and a hammer half-cock to prevent an accidental discharge if the primary sear notch fails. To prevent the pistol from firing if dropped, the captured firing pin will not engage a cartridge primer unless it is struck by the hammer, and a firing pin block prevents the firing pin from moving forward unless the trigger is fully depressed.

Two of PARA's Expert eight-round magazines are included in the hard case this pistol ships in.TheentireBlack Ops pistol is treated with an Ionbond satin black finish. It is approximately three times harder than chrome with a lower fiction coefficient. This includes the 5-inch match-grade barrel. If you really want to find out how tough a finish is, applying it to the barrel would be the way to find out since most barrels treated with bluing or other chemical treatments tend to show wear right away.

The PK2 treated barrel on this pistol shows no visible wear after hundreds of rounds. As it turns out, former U.S. Army Sergeant and World Champion action shooter Travis Tomasie has put thousands of rounds down range through a barrel with this finish, and it still shows almost no indications of its rugged use.At the RangeFor those shooters who have sworn their devotion to quality 1911 platforms, I have nothing to say about the Black Ops that you don't already understand. For those who don't quite get the near obsession with this century-old semi-auto, a day at the range with the Black Ops will help to explain it. Lyman's digital trigger gauge states the Black Ops trigger weighs in at 4 pounds, 1- ounce. The trigger feels smooth and crisp, making it enjoyable to work with.A 40-ounce full-size 1911 is too much pistol to slide comfortably into an ankle holster.

Remington

It can also be a bit much on the hip for concealed carry, but good holsters make daily carry possible. However, the weight and balance of the all-steel construction swallow up the felt recoil produced by.45 ACP cartridges, even potent +P loads.

A comfortable level of recoil improves chances of accurate first round placement and solid follow-up shots.PARA describes the G10 grip panels installed on this pistol as having 'an aggressive machined pattern.' This very aggressive pattern is ideal for wet, cold or slick hands that need instant purchase in a defensive situation, but extended practice proved to be uncomfortable. However, with shooting gloves in place, the logic of this grip design quickly became apparent. The sharp points and ridges of the grips' surface settled into the fabric of the gloves to provide one of the most secure and comfortable grips I have worked with.Knowing that this pistol is intended for users who need top notch performance, I used a few of the best defensive loads on the market for the formal shooting tests. Accuracy work was conducted from a bench rest with targets set at 25 yards using consecutive five-shot groups. I expected solid performance from this pistol and the results were not disappointing. The best single five-shot group of 1.75 inches was produced using Asym 185-grain +P Barnes Tac-XP hollow points. The Asym load also produced the best five-group average of 2.15 inches.

Winchester 230-grain PDX1 bonded hollow points averaged 2.4 inches, with three single groups of just 2.25 inches. DoubleTap 185-grain Nosler jacketed hollow points produced a best single group of 2 inches, with an overall average of 2.55 inches. I spend too much time at a keyboard typing and too many range sessions swapping out shooting platforms to develop the laser-like precision of competitive shooters. When the shot groups are this well formed, the credit goes to the gun and ammunition combination.Final ThoughtsAlthough a growing segment of the handgun market is dedicated to ultra-light pocket pistols, Para USA knows that plenty of shooters, especially those that carry a sidearm on the job, still recognize the value of a full-size all-stainless steel 1911. The new Black Ops series of pistols exemplifies Para USA's dedication to producing rugged, high-quality pistols that can stand up to the job at hand. This pistol arrives ready to work, right out of the box. The PK2 finish is rugged and good looking, and promises to protect the pistol from the dirt and moisture working handguns encounter.

The new Black Ops' combination of tactical features and accuracy make it an ideal working gun as well as an after hour’s home and personal protection pistol.Manufacturer: PARA USA, Inc.;Model: 1911 Black Ops (PRX845SO)Action: Semi-AutomaticCaliber:.45 ACPMaterial: Stainless SteelFinish: Black IonbondGrips: Textured G10Sights: Night SightsBarrel Length: 5”Overall Length: 8.5”Height: 5.5”Width: 1.28”Weight: 40 ozs.Capacity: 8+1 Rounds, Two Magazines ProvidedTwist: 1:16” LHRifle Groove: 6Suggested Retail Price: $1299.

6 of 7 people found the following review helpful:Overall rating: 5.0Value for money: 5.0Accuracy: 5.0By Brian from USA on 2018-04-19 12:51:38Things I liked: Fun factor is high. Looks great and easy to cock.Things I would have changed: Have the trigger adjusted to about 75% less than the current 10 mile road march in the mud.

Have an access port for the screw in front of the trigger so that the trigger pull can be adjusted. What others should know: Now that I have figured out how to adjust the trigger, this is a little tack driver. To adjust the trigger. There're 2 screws.

1 in front of the trigger and 1 behind the trigger. The screw in the front is for the, wait for it, the 10 mile road march in the mud trigger pull. Some people call it military slack. Definitely messes with you accuracy.

Now this front trigger has no access so you have to drill a hole in the trigger guard in order to get to the screw. Now this will probably void your warranty, you can thank me later. Once you have access to the front screw, start tightening it, that's clock wise, tighten the screw a little at a time until the gun will no longer cock. Then back it out about half a turn or until it cocks. You will be impressed with the new found accuracy. Backing out the rear trigger reduces the poundage of your trigger or the amount of pressure you apply to the trigger with your finger to make it go bang.

Shooting cans now at 80 yards. The most helpful critical review. 5.0 3 ratingsThings I liked: This rifle I found to be extremely well made for the money. The break barrel is manageable wth one hand for cocking and the recoil is absorbed very well due to the design.

Indeed this is a tack driver and after chronographing I found the advertised FPS is very close to specification. Adjustments can be made for optimum comfort for any shooter. The scope took a bit bit of time to properly sight in.

But at 25 yards I was grouping one on top of the other. I rate this a solid 5 stars across the board.Things I would have changed: Realistically for the money, I would not change a thing. What others should know: This is not a toy and is extremely powerful. Please use caution when handling. Specifically when cocking the pellet gun and inserting pellets.

Keep a firm grip on the barell to avoid it from closing on your finger.' Thanks Pyramyd Air for another great product!' Respectfully,Arthur Paul. 0.0 0 ratingsThings I liked: The trigger pull i very good.

Overall set up is quite easy.Things I would have changed: The scope could be a little better. This criticism is not restricted to this gun.

Why don't scope manufacturers engrave a line up the middle of the scope tube and a matching mark on the scope rings to help alignment. In this particular rifle, although the bolt handle is not real, there out to be an option to place it on the left side.

There should be an option for sling swivels. These are all very minor things. What others should know: Absolutely, this is not a toy. I plan to use it for small game hunting.

I am more than pleased with the product. 0.0 0 ratingsThings I liked: I like that it holds up as well with shooting as to the.177 Cal version.

The gun is great the only down side is the scope But do to the price and the gun it is a great setup. If you buy a good scope for this it is a very deadly gun. I was able to setup a target to day at 35 yards and shot 5.22 Cal pellets theH&N Crow Magnum.22 Cal, 18.21 Grains, Hollowpoint, 200ct, 5.5 mm This gun did well with them with a group of 5 shots within a quarter size group.that is nice to see.Things I would have changed: I feel there isn't anything to change. I would like to see this in a PCP setup with the capability of the bolt being used to load the Pellets that would be nice to see. But for the price it is a great deal so for a low price i wouldn't change a thing. What others should know: I WOULD LIKE TO SAY THAT THIS IS NOT A TOY AND IF A CHILD IS USING IT PLEASE PLEASE HAVE SOMEONE WITH YOU THAT KNOWS ABOUT SAFETY PLEASE THIS GUN WILL KILL!!!!!!!!!!! IF IT IS NOT USED IN A PROPER SAFEWAY.I need to say first that I do own the Black Ops Sniper Air Rifle Combo.177 Cal.

I seen that this now comes in the.22cal. I have owned both thespring and I own the Black Ops Tactical Sniper Power Piston Pellet Gun combo.177 Cal. The spring version is bad i was always off target and the recall was bad. I am glad they made the NEW power piston ones they are great. I JUST BOUGHT Black Ops Tactical Sniper Air Rifle Combo.22Cal for my birthday I ordered it on Sep 5 2016 and it just got to me on Sep 8 2016 came to me at 3pm took it out and sighted in the scope and the gun was roght on after about 6 shoots. 5.0 1 ratingThings I liked: This in the.22 package is by far the best break barrel air rifle I have ever owned.

I unboxed it extremely pleased took one look through the scope jumped in my car went straight to local gun store and bought a 3x9 x 50 scope. It took less than 12 shots to pin point accuracy at 30 yards. I'm talking dime sized groups. The trigger is better than the crosman trigger, but the crosman trigger has never been an issue for me. As far as what I liked Everything absolutely everything but the scope. If for those who money is hard to come by the scope will work just fine.

The bipod is cool and works just fine, The things I liked The looks the feel Really though the power and accuracy. BUy this this gun before they realise they can get A LOT more for it.Things I would have changed: The only thing I did change the scope, it never even got mounted on my gun it sits in its lonely drawer with the center points and swiss arms scopes and a few gamo scopes So I guess its not lonely at all it has plenty of friends.

When Is Black Ops 4 Coming Out

I does not have a place for this rifle. Will the scope work. Yes it will but a gun of this caliber deserves a scope that would put the pellet Exactly where you want it.What others should know: BUY THIS GUN NOW!!!! Or wait until they raise the price, Either way buy this gun you will absolutely love it. 2.0 1 ratingThings I liked: It seems to have pretty good power, I am using a heavy pellet which helps the accuracy also.

Looks pretty cool! And it is a military platform in a.22 with a reasonable price tagThings I would have changed: rather cumbersome, if you are small it is probably not for you. Scope definitely needs to be better, the picatiny rail should have been metal. What others should know: I bought it because I wanted a reasonably priced military style platform air rifle in.22 If you are buying this in.177 then I highly recommend the crossman mtr77np, a far better gun. I wish the mtr came in.22.

0.0 0 ratingsThings I liked: Everything but the scope. This would be a great value without a scope. Just got it yesterday and mounted another 3X9 scope I had. After an initial cleaning I started sighting it in.

Remington black ops 2

Within 10 shots I was grouping 1 inch at 25 yards using the PCP Diabalo Heavy pellets. As others have stayed this is a fantastic value. Aside from the scope issue it has an awful trigger, heavy, scratchy, very long pull.

Its heavily builtIts not nearly as loud as I expected. The report,is more of a mechanical sound than a bang or report.Things I would have changed: Scope, maybe iron sights, trigger pull. What others should know: Fantastic value. 2.0 1 ratingThings I liked: Since I want this review to be about the gun and not the scope, let's get that rant out of the way first. I will never understand why a manufacturer would bundle such a poor scope with an outstanding gun like this.

It's basically a toy, wont hold zero, and is a complete waste of time. When you order the gun, order a decent scope as well, the gun deserves it. I bet a lot of people return this and other guns just because of the scope. It might turn someone new to the sport against airguns. With that out of the way, airguns have been my hobby for many years and I have a bunch of them.

This might well be the most accurate out of the box air rifle I have ever had. I cleaned the barrel and shot it a few times just to make sure everything worked OK. I mounted the cheap scope and used Loctite on the screws. Next day I sighted it in and within nine shots I put 3 in the bullseye at 30 yards. Within a few shots the scope had lost zero and started shooting to the left. I threw that scope away and mounted a 4-16 x 40 mm Center Point from Walmart. It has held zero for about 200 shots so far.

I can put 8 or 9 shots in the bullseye from 30 yards every time and when the gun settles down ( still dieseling just a little ) I expect it to get better. The gun feels solid. It's a little heavy but since the weight is listed in the specifications, that should be no surprise. The trigger is long and stiff, I hope that improves with time. I bought this gun in.22 because I plan to do some small game hunting with it.

For that reason I didn't mount the bi-pod and probably wont. The gun shoots hard. I don't have a chronograph but comparing it to the known velocity of some of my other guns I'm guessing it's around 900fps.

The only pellets I have used are the 14.3 g Crosman hollow points from Walmart.I highly recommend this gun.Things I would have changed: Put some open sights on the gun. Leave off the cheap scopeWhat others should know: This gun can be bought with the gas piston or a spring. I recommend gas pistons in general, but I have no experience with the spring version of this gun. 1.0 1 ratingThings I liked: Tactical style, look & feel.

Not as heavy or hard to cock as otherwise reviewed, well constructed durable materials, faux action bolt and muzzle compensator, adjustable cheek rest, optional bipod, decent trigger, included scope and rings, overall size, ease of handling, gas piston, extremely accurate and very hard hitting, weaver rails, competitive price for what you get.Things I would have changed: Would like the extended butt pad a feature of the previous version. Not a deal breakerWhat others should know: Just when I thought that I had experienced the top of my range of affordability & performance.I stumble upon this Ignite Black Ops Sniper.177. This rifle way exceeds my expectations and lives up to the hype from the online reviews. Recent purchase before this Black Ops was the Remington Thunderceptor.22.

I thought that was the tops! This Black Ops is much lighter and appears to equal performance (no actual testing), just from realtime operation and performance. Using the JSB 10.34gr.

Added a 9-24x50 scope w/sun shade &1pc tactical mount takes this rifle to another level of performance. Barrel not as dirty as other reviews but did run a few cleaning pellets thru it before scoping. 3 shot adjustments and hitting exactly where aiming, literally destroying various target types. Pests will be NO problem for this rifle. Have not tested the range but sighted in at 25-30yds. (ave range for backyard shooting). Noise level does not appear to exceed the other rifles I have.

0.0 0 ratingsThings I liked: Build quality.Value.PowerThings I would have changed: Its weight and i would like to see some tac rails for light or laser. What others should know: I have certainly had my fair share of high end nice pellet guns and this is hands down the best value that I have seen for the money. The bi pod alone would cost 40$ or 50$. This air gun is made extremely well.

The scope isn't the greatest but serves its purpose. Its the heaviest pellet rifle that I have ever held.I would recommend getting some heavy pellets or it will sound like a 22LR. Love the fact that they used a rubber type material for the pistol grip making it very comfortable. Im blown away by how much gun you get for the money here.

0.0 0 ratingsThings I liked: It has cool factor as for as looks. It is complete everything you need to go shoot scope tool compartment and bi-pods. With extra rail you can modify the gun to your liking.

Adjustable trigger 2 stage. The gun is very accurate, we have achieved 70 yard shots with scope adjustment.Things I would have changed: I would like to see the bi-pods to have a more positive or rigid locking system in the extended position. Take the graphics off the suppressor it is too muchWhat others should know: Well I like this rifle so well I own 2. Fortunately, I also have two, but I have both the original (springer-type that was sold at Walmart) Black Ops Sniper Rifle AND the newer gas piston type version. Internet download manager with crack for windows 7.

In reality, there are only two things I have noticed about having both of the versions of this item. The newer version does not have an adjustable stock, where the original has both an adjustable comb and stock. The newer one has only an adjustable comb.

Oh, and of course the new version has the gas piston power plant, versus the original's spring power plant. Also, it seems like I notice a slight weight difference between the old and new rifle versions. The original with an adjustable stock had to include the necessary hardware associated with this option. It is possible that the one piece plastic stock and the gas piston power plant might have saved a couple of pounds which would solve that sensation of lesser girth. Anyway, as to quote a famous movie idol, 'they would have to pry this rifle out of my cold dead hands'.
